Effect of the Eclipse

Home > News > Effect of the Eclipse >

Students in the Physics and Chemistry classes collected data on how the eclipse affected the environment. They measured wind speed, air temperature, ground surface temperature, visible light intensity, UV light intensity, the voltage produced by solar panels, and the cloud cover/sky conditions. The data was collected by groups of students and volunteers before, during and after the eclipse. Data was collected at two different sites on the ball field to allow for more data collection. The students are now analyzing that data to see what change occurred and whether those affects were caused by the eclipse.
